Ohio Football Alumnus Chip Cox Inducted Into CFL Hall of Fame

ATHENS, Ohio—Ohio football program alumnus Chip Cox (Columbus, Ohio) is apart of the 2022 Canadian Football League Hall of Fame class, earning the honor in his first year of eligibility. He was officially inducted with seven other honorees on Friday (Sept. 16) at Tim Hortons Field. 
 
Cox played 13 seasons for the Montreal Alouettes, wrapping up his career with the fourth highest total defensive tackles in CFL history (979). He was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2013 and lead the Alouettes to four Grey Cup appearances with victories in 2009 and 2010.  
 
Cox was voted CFL All-Star four times and East Division All-Star six times. He played for the Bobcats from 2001-04.
