ATHENS, Ohio —The Ohio Sports Network from Learfield is ready for 2022 Bobcat Football.
The coverage area really does extend "from Court Street to Columbus, and from WV to Kentucky, Cincy and beyond." A new station in Columbus joins this year. Fox Sports Radio 920 (WMNI-AM) gives the network a solid sports radio presence in the capital city for game broadcasts and coach's shows. When there's a conflict, programming will shift to their HD channel.Â
Â
WXTQ returns to serve as the flagship station in Athens. The WJAW family of stations gives the network a presence in Marietta and Parkersburg. To the west, fans can listen on WYPC in Jackson and Wellston, and WAOL in Cincinnati/Ripley.
The continued partnership with WOUB Public Media adds to the network's coverage map with stations in Ashland/Ironton, Cambridge, Chillicothe, Zanesville.
Fans outside of the over-the-air coverage area can listen via "The Varsity Network" app on mobile devices and online on OhioBobcats.com.
The "Tim Albin Show, presented by Labatt Blue" debuts tonight at the Eclipse Company Store in The Plains from 6-7 p.m. Redshirt 5th year RB Julian Ross (Kansas City, MO) is tonight's player guest. "Bobcat Sports Today," a Monday through Friday Ohio Athletics sportscast, starts on many network stations today too.Â
"Voice of the Bobcats" Russ Eisenstein returns for his 15th season and is once again joined by Ohio alum and longtime color analyst Rob Cornelius. Together the duo have put words to some of the greatest moments in Ohio Athletics history. Jake Stuart joins the network this year as studio host.
Ohio opens the season on Saturday at home with Florida Atlantic. "Bobcat Gamenight, presented by Bud Light" kicks off radio coverage at 5 p.m. with the kickoff at 6. The game is also available on ESPN+.Â
