ATHENS, Ohio—The Ohio football program added nine student-athletes to its 2022 roster, as announce by head coach Tim Albin. 

"We are beyond excited to welcome these young men into our family," said head coach Tim Albin. "These student-athletes greatly improve our roster in both the short and long term and I look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on our team for years to come."

Cornerback Austin Brawley (Massillon, Ohio), offensive lineman Jacob Dennison (Mansfield, Ohio), quarterback Parker Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.), wide receiver Sam Wiglusz (Brecksville, Ohio) and safety Adonis Williams Jr. (South Euclid, Ohio) joined the 2022 squad. Walk-ons include linebacker CJ Hankins (Lakewood, Ohio), wide receiver Ryan McDole (Cincinnati, Ohio), wide receiver Will Futhey (Waverly City, Ohio) and tight end Michael Molnar (Mason, Ohio). 

AUSTIN BRAWLEY

Prior to Ohio: Was on the Massillon Washington High School football team for four years, lettering three times… Ran track for two years, earning two letters… Participated in 41 games, finishing his high school career with 1,082 receiving yards, 10 blocked kicks, five forced fumbles and 160 tackles…Earned First Team All-Ohio, Academic All-Ohio and First Team All-Ohio honors in 2021… Named 2021 Northeast Inland Defensive Player of the Year as well as WHBC All-County Defense and Offense… Earned Bob Commings Hardnose Award and Mayor of Massillon Student of the Year. 

Personal: Born March 9, 2004… Son of Libby and Monnie… Has three younger siblings: Luke, Greyden and Lincoln… His mother played soccer and basketball and Ursuline College… Favorite athlete is Jarvis Landry and he's a Cleveland sports fan… Enjoys thrifting, building Legos and playing fantasy football in his spare time… Is majoring in finance.

JACOB DENNISON

Prior to Ohio: Transferred from Jacksonville State University… Attended Lexington High School, where he played football as well as track and field… Captained the 2019 football team, earning First Team All-MNS, Second Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-Ohio… Named 2018 Second Team All-MNS and Honorable Mention All-OCC.

Personal: Born June 25, 2001… Son of Mark and Jen… Has one sister, Caitlin… In his spare time, you'll find him fishing or gaming… Participates in student council, 4H and jazz band… Made honor roll 2018-20… Favorite team is the Cleveland Browns and his favorite athlete is Myles Garrett… Is majoring in criminal justice… Wants to be a detective and high school football coach.

CJ HANKINS

Prior to Ohio: Transferred from Brown… Attended St. Edward High School, earning three varsity letters for football and two for track… Captained the 2020 team, earning First Team All-Ohio Region and First Team All-Conference honors… Named Second Team All-Region in 2019… 2018 Division I Champions… Recorded 304 career tackles, setting the school record.

Personal: Born May 10, 2002… Son of Matt… Has one brother, Tyrese, and two sisters, Peyton and Kylee… Enjoys lifting and golfing in his spare time… Class president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes… Earned academic high honors 2018-20… TJ Watt is his favorite athlete… Favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Guardians… Is majoring in management and hopes to work in sports.

MICHAEL MOLNAR

Prior to Ohio: Attended Mason High School… Played football for four years, earning two letters… Earned two basketball letters in three years… Earned one letter in baseball… Named All-GMC… Earned All-State, All-Region and All-Conference Honors… Mason Football team advanced to GMC championship his junior year. 

Personal: Born May 25, 2003… Son of Leslie and Tim… Has a twin sister, Rachael, who is also attending Ohio… Father played football at Muskigum… Favorite athlete is Bo Jackson… Favorite teams are the Browns and Guardians… Likes drawing and hanging out with his pets in his spare time… Made honor roll all four years at Mason High School… Is majoring in exercise physiology with the intent of owning a gym or becoming a firefighter. 

PARKER NAVARRO

Prior to Ohio: Transferred from UCF… Played football, volleyball and ran track at Desert Vista High School… Captained the football team from 2018-20.

Personal: Born November 16, 2001… Son of Joel and Kimberly… Has one brother, Henley, and one sister, Jillian… His father played football at New Mexico State… Favorite athlete is Drew Brees and he is a fan of the New Orleans Saints and the St. Louis Cardinals… Likes fishing, golfing, reading and hanging out with friends and family in his spare time… Is majoring in health sciences.

SAM WIGLUSZ

Prior to Ohio: Transferred from Ohio State, where he played in 13 games… Named 2021 Academic All-Big 10… Earned three letters in football at Brecksville High School… Captained the 2017 team… finished his high school career with 37 touchdowns and 3,129 yards… Named Second Team All-Ohio… Cleveland.com All-Star… Set the school record for yards in a single season in 2017 (1,432)… Also lettered in baseball, basketball and track.
