ATHENS, Ohio -- Following the 2022-23 Bobcat soccer season, Abby Townsend has been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-Midwest Region.

Graduate Student Abby Townsend played in every game this season accumulating over 1500 minutes. Townsend led the Bobcats offensively this year with 7 goals, 10 assists, 45 shots, and 27 shots on goal making her SOG percentage .600 for the 2022 season.

Townsend was also named the CSC Academic All-District and MAC offensive player of the week after her performance against Western Carolina (Sept. 16th), where she dominated the field with 1 goal, 1 assist, 5 shots and 4 shots on goal in just 90 minutes. Abby Townsend is also listed in the Ohio Women's Soccer Record Book for games played, goals scored, shots recorded, and points accumulated.
