Schedule Release

ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio women's basketball conference schedule has been released, the Mid-American Conference announced. The Bobcats are scheduled to tip off this season's edition of MACtion on the road, against Miami, on Dec. 29. 

The contest against Miami will be the only conference game played in 2021. The Bobcats will play their home opener on Jan. 1, 2022 against Eastern Michigan. The rest of the month of January has four additional games played in the Convocation Center; Northern Illinois (Jan. 8), Buffalo (Jan. 12), Kent State (Jan. 19), and Bowling Green (Jan. 22). Ohio will also travel to four schools in January; Akron (Jan. 5), Central Michigan (Jan. 15), Toledo (Jan. 26), and Western Michigan (Jan. 29).

The February slate will be just as balanced, with four contests taking place in Athens; Ball State (Feb. 2), Western Michigan (Feb. 12), Toledo (Feb. 16), and Akron (Feb. 26). There will be four road conference games for the Bobcats in February; Northern Illinois (Feb. 5), Ball Stat (Feb. 9), Bowling Green (Feb. 19), and Buffalo (Feb. 23). 

March brings two final conference games for the Bobcats, one at home against Miami (March 2) and the final game of the regular season being played at Kent State on March 5. The MAC Women's Basketball Tournament is scheduled to be played March 9-12.

Ohio is coming off a 2020-21 campaign in which they finished 15-10, and earned an invitation to the WNIT, where they went 1-2 before eventually bowing out in the consolation final against UMass.
