
Ohio Women's Golf Concludes 2021 MAC Championships

SILVER LAKE, Ohio – The Ohio women's golf team wrapped up play at the 2021 Mid-American Conference championships on Saturday (April 24) at the 6,277-yard Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake, Ohio. The Bobcats finished this year's championship in seventh place.
Kent State won this year's championship, finishing with an 878 (+14).
Ohio finished Saturday's round with a 332, finishing the a two-day total of 969 (+105).
Leading Ohio was freshman Mariana Vega-Rivera (Reynoldsburg, Ohio). Vega-Rivera wrapped up the tournament tied for 19th place after finishing the day with a third round score of 81, giving her a 237 (+21) on the weekend.
Junior Catherine Loftus (Roswell, Ga.) finished in 27th place after recording an 80 on Saturday. Loftus wrapped up the tournament with a total of 241, helping her finish 25-over.
Junior Alicia Porvasnik (Hinckley, Ohio) finished the weekend in 40th place after finishing Saturday with an 87. Porvasnik finished the tournament with a three-round total of 248 (+32). Graduate student Kellen Alsip (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished in 41st place. Alsip shot an 84 on Saturday, helping her finish with a two-day total of 249 (+33).
Sophomore Avery Ovens (Wiloughby Hills, Ohio) finished the weekend tied for 42nd place. Ovens recorded a third-round score of 90, giving her a three-round total of 251 (+35).
