ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio baseball team (7-6, 1-2 MAC) dropped both seven-inning games of a Mid-American Conference doubleheader on Sunday (March 21), falling to Bowling Green (4-9, 2-1 MAC) by scores of 6-2 and 5-2.

The Falcons plated four runs in the top of the fifth inning to break a one-all tie and tacked on an insurance run in the seventh to earn the win in game one. Senior left fielder Sebastian Fabik (Lebanon, Ohio) led the Bobcats at the plate with a 2-for-3 effort that included a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Game two Bowling Green plate four runs in the fourth and another in the fifth to take a 5-0 lead. Ohio attempted to mount a rally in the home half of the seventh when redshirt junior left fielder Trevor Lukkes (Tustin, Calif.) hit a two-run home run with one out, but that's as close as the Bobcats got. Graduate student third baseman Trevor Hafner (Perrysburg, Ohio) and junior catcher Mason Minzey (Grand Blanc, Mich.) each collected a pair of hits for Ohio.

Ohio will look to even the four-game set with Bowling Green when the two squads face off in the final contest of the series on Monday (March 22). First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
