TOLEDO, Ohio – The Ohio men's basketball team (6-5, 2-3 MAC) was unable to overcome foul trouble and a hot-shooting Toledo (10-3, 5-0 MAC) squad, falling 95-78, Friday night inside Savage Arena.
"Give them a lot of credit," second year head coach Jeff Boals said. "That's a really good team. They have a lot of skill players and they play well together. Obviously, they were on tonight. A lot of it was them and a lot of it was us. It had an Akron feel to it where they dictated both ends of the floor. They slowed us down. And when teams do that, you have to be in attack mode. I'm not sure how many layups we missed, but it was a lot of layups. We go the ball where we wanted it to be, but we missed it. We fought and battled and we cut it to like seven or eight in the second half, but couldn't get over the hump. Give them a lot of credit for that.
