ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio men's basketball team has added Idaho transfer point guard Kolton Mitchell to the roster for the 2026-27 season, head coach
Jeff Boals announced today (April 23). Mitchell has two years of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited to add Kolton to our men's basketball family," Boals said "He helped lead his team to the NCAA Tournament last year and was an integral part of their success, leading his team in scoring and assists. He's a high character young man and will make an immediate impact."

While at Idaho, the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho native played in 66 games and made 65 starts and averaged 12.4 points and 3.6 assists per game. Mitchell earned Big Sky All-Tournament Team honors after averaging 14.5 points and grabbed 5.3 rebounds a game over the Vandals' run. Mitchell went on to lead Idaho in their NCAA First Round game against No. 2 Houston, scoring a team-high 14 points.
