Box Score

ATHENS, Ohio – Behind 6.1 shutout innings from redshirt freshman RHP Jack Liberatore (Greensburg, Pa.), the Ohio Baseball (4-13) team blanked Army (9-8), 1-0, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Bob Wren Stadium.

"Army is a really good team, so to beat those guys at all is encouraging," head coach Rob Smith said. "They are really a quality team. I can't say enough about the job Jack Liberatore, Eddie Kutt and Brett Manis did for us. They were outstanding today. It was really good to get a win."

"Jack was really good in the strike zone and utilized all four of his pitches today," Smith added. "When he does that, he can be difficult to deal with."

Sophomore LHP Brett Manis (Port Huron, Mich.)  earned his fourth save of the season after pitching 1.1 innings. Manis fanned three batters and allowed two hits, both infield singles.
