The Ohio softball team (24-13, 7-5 MAC) is back in action for six games against two Mid-American Conference foes this week. The week begins on Tuesday, April 7, when Ohio heads to Oxford, Ohio, for the start of a three-game series with Miami (26-10, 8-4 MAC). First pitch is set for 3 p.m. ET at the Miami Softball Stadium. The series concludes on Wednesday, April 8, with a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. ET. Ohio then returns to Athens for the start of a four-game home stand beginning on Saturday, April 11, when the Bobcats host Bowling Green (15-18, 3-9 MAC) for a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. ET at the Ohio Softball Field. The series concludes on Sunday, April 12, at noon ET. All three games can be seen on ESPN+.
Ohio is coming off a 2-1 series win at Ball State this past weekend, winning the second and third games in the series. Sophomore Jordyn Wycuff went 4-for-8 on the weekend with a double, while senior Belle Hummel hit .455 with five hits, one double, one RBI and two runs scored. In the circle, junior Mikie Lieving earned two wins, allowing three earned runs in 8.1 innings of work.
Miami is currently 26-10 overall and 8-4 in MAC play and is coming off a series win at Buffalo this past weekend. Danitza Hernandez is hitting .406 with 43 hits, nine doubles, 10 home runs and a team-leading 41 RBI, while Katy Olive is hitting .355 with 39 hits, seven doubles, one triple, 13 home runs and 34 RBI. In the circle, Presley Hosick has a 2.81 ERA, allowing 50 runs, 36 earned, in 89.2 innings, while walking 28 and striking out 51.
Bowling Green is currently 15-18 overall and 3-9 in MAC play. At the plate, Taylor Behrendt leads the Falcons with a .333 batting average, recording 35 hits, with six doubles and 16 RBI, while Peyton Steffes is batting .313 with 30 hits, four doubles, one triple, one home run and 11 RBI. In the circle, Mackenzie Krafcik is 8-6 overall with a 2.93 ERA in 90.2 innings. She has allowed 52 runs, 38 earned, while walking 19 and striking out 45.

The Ohio baseball team (6-25, 3-12 MAC) is back in action for four games this week. The week begins on Tuesday, April 7 when the Bobcats head to Morehead, Ky. to take on Morehead State (15-16, 4-5 OVC). First pitch is set for 6 p.m. ET at Allen Field and can be seen on ESPN+. Ohio is back on the road April 10-12 when they head to Oxford, Ohio to take on Miami (20-10, 10-5 MAC). The three-game series begins on Friday, April 10 at 3 p.m. ET at McKie Field at Hayden Park. The final two games of the series will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
Ohio is coming off a week that saw the Bobcats go to Huntington and defeat Marshall, 5-3. At the plate, fifth-year Will Henson went 2-for-4, recording one run and two RBI, highlighted by a home run. Senior Dylan Shepherd went 1-for-4 at the plate with one RBI and one run. Junior Cameron Boyd had one hit and one run, including a home run. On the mound, Evan Lichtenauer got the start, with five innings pitched, allowing three hits, no runs, walking one and striking out three. Freshman Rylan Sams allowed three runs on two hits, walked one and struck out one in 1.1 innings pitched. Senior Dillon Masters got the win by not allowing any runs, one hit, and two strikeouts in 2.2 innings pitched.
Morehead State is 15-16 overall and is coming off a sweep of UT Martin at home this past weekend. At the plate, Morehead State is led by Aubrey Kearns, who is batting .424 with 53 hits, 10 doubles, seven home runs and 36 RBI, while Kyle Krupp is batting .353 with 42 hits, five doubles, three triples, one home run and 20 RBI. On the mound, Connor Davis is 3-0 in eight appearances, recording a 6.23 ERA in 34.2 innings, allowing 28 runs, while walking 20 and striking out 13.
Miami is 20-10 overall and 10-5 in MAC play and is coming off a sweep of Ball State last weekend at home. The RedHawks will take on Cincinnati on Wednesday before hosting the Bobcats. Tommy Harrison leads Miami at the plate with a .420 batting average, recording 47 hits, 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 52 RBI, while Marcus Dierks adds a .377 average with 40 hits, five doubles, one triple and 17 RBI. On the mound, Zac Sohosky is 3-0 with a 4.30 ERA, allowing 28 runs, 18 earned, in 372 innings, while walking 18 and striking out 37.
WOMEN'S GOLF

The Ohio women's golf team is back in action for two tournaments this week. The first tournament takes place April 6-8 at the 2026 Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge. The three-day event takes place in Pawley's Island, S.C., at the True Blue Golf Club. The Bobcats will play 18 holes each day. Other members of the Bobcats' squad will head to Grove City, Ohio, April 6-7, for the ODU NC4K Classic at Pinnacle Golf Club. Those Bobcats competing will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Teams competing at the 2026 Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge are: Akron, Ball State, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Evansville, Fairleigh Dickinson, Jacksonville St., Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, Morehead State, Ohio, Radford, Samford, Stephen F. Austin, Stonehill, UNC Asheville, WMU and Winthrop.
Competing for Ohio at the event are: senior Mackenzie McRee, juniors Morgan Rodgers and Zoe Luebbers, sophomore Ally Turner and freshman Paige Treherne.
The three Bobcats competing as individuals at the ODU NC4K are: senior Alaina Nugent, sophomore Saylor Wharff and freshman Katie Husted.
Ohio last competed March 30-31 at the 2026 Georgia State Invitational. As a team, the Bobcats shot a 303(+15) in round one and 296 (+8) in round two, finishing day one of the Invitational tied for sixth place. On the second day of competition, Ohio shot a 315 (+27), finishing tied for ninth with an overall score of 914 (+50). Individually, Turner led the Bobcats' efforts across the Invitational, finishing tied 15th overall. In the first two rounds, Turner shot a 73 (+1) in both, finishing the day tied for 11th place alongside Rodgers. During day two of the Invitational, Turner shot a 76 (+4) and finished tied for 15th place overall with a score of 222 (+6).
MEN'S GOLF

The Ohio men's golf team is back in action April 6-8 at the 2026 Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge. The three-day event takes place in Pawley's Island, S.C. at the True Blue Golf Club. The Bobcats will play 18 holes each day.
Teams competing at the 2026 Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge are: Evansville, George Washington, New Orleans, West Georgia, Fairleigh Dickinson, Charleston Southern, Georgia State, Marshall, Sacred Heart, William & Mary, UAB, USC Upstate, Ohio, Queens, UConn, Coastal Carolina and Jacksonville State.
On the green for Ohio this week are seniors Nathaniel Gray Lamont, Will Kates and Carson Trafford, graduate student Sam Hall and freshman Rylan Hall.
Ohio last competed March 23-25 at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate. The event featured an eight-team bracket-style tournament, including the Bobcats. After three competitive rounds, Ohio secured a sixth-place finish. Entering the tournament as the No. 5 seed, the Bobcats opened play against No. 4 seed Wright State on Monday. On the second day, Ohio faced No. 8 seed Northern Kentucky. The Bobcats showcased strong performances against the Norse, winning four of six matches to secure the 4-2 victory.
TRACK AND FIELD

The Ohio track and field team is back in action April 10-11 for the 2026 We Fly Challenge hosted by Ball State. The two-day event will begin at 10 a.m. ET each day at the Briner Sports Complex: Ball State Outdoor Track/Field Facility in Muncie, Ind.
The Bobcats are coming off a strong showing at the 2026 Cherry Blossom Invite in Athens this past Friday, including several program bests, including a school record, and individual career bests. Junior Emilee Baumann broke her own outdoor school record in the women's pole vault with a PR of 3.76 meters (12-4), taking home first place in the event. Ohio swept three of the throwing events, the women's discus, hammer throw and shot put. Senior Jasmine Correa won the women's shot put (12.97m/42-6.75) while freshman Lyza Forson took home second (12.83m/42-1, PR) and sophomore Kiyah Baker placed third (12.25m/40-2.25, PR). Freshman Aubree Beery won the women's hammer throw (51.63m/169-5)
All four athletes in the women's 100m hurdles recorded PR's in either the preliminaries or finals. Freshman Zoey Caldwell led all hurdlers in the preliminaries with a PR of 14.26. Sophomore Ava Kincaid led Ohio in the finals with a PR of 14.66, placing second. Kincaid won the women's 400m hurdles (1:00.94) while Caldwell placed fourth (1:05.22, PR). Junior Ellie Greenwell won the women's 800m with a PR of 2:08.85, the third-best outdoor time in program history. Senior Sara Doughman and sophomore Kaitlyn Stewart took home second (2:11.10) and third (2:11.85) place in the event, respectively.
VOLLEYBALL

The Ohio volleyball team is set for its second spring matchup of the season on Friday, April 10, when the Bobcats head to Parkersburg, W. Va., to take on West Virginia in a neutral-site match. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET at Parkersburg South High School.
