
Ohio Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at 2019 Flyer InvitationalĀ

KETTERING, Ohio – The Ohio women's golf team wrapped up play at the 2019 Flayer Invitational, hosted by Dayton, at the 5,800-yard NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio on Tuesday (Oct. 15). The Bobcats finished the tournament in eighth place after shooting a combined scored round of 308, giving them a tournament total of 630 (+70).
Butler won this year's tournament after posting a tournament total of 605 (+45).
Leading Ohio was sophomore Catherine Loftus (Roswell, Ga.) who finished tied for 13th place after shooting a 73 on Tuesday afternoon, giving her a tournament total of 153 (+13).
Junior Ashley Flynn (Dublin, Ohio) finished tied for 25th place, her highest finish of the 2019-20 season, after shooting a second-round score of 78. Tuesday's round helped give her a combined total of 156 (+16).
Sophomore Alicia Porvasnik (Hinckley, Ohio) finished Tuesday with a 77, giving her a two-round total of 157 (+17), tying her for 32nd place. Freshman Maria Howard (Dublin, Ohio) finished the tournament in 56th place after recording a second-round score of 80, giving her a two-round total of 164 (+24).
Rounding out the scoring Bobcats was redshirt freshman Mallory Lovell (Georgetown, Ky.) who finished tied for 57th place after recording an 80 on Tuesday. The round gave her a tournament total of 165 (+25).
Playing unattached for the Bobcats was senior Marissa Balish (Allison Park, Pa.) Balish finished the tournament tied for 46th place after recording a second-round score of 81, giving her a tournament total of 162 (+22).
With the conclusion of the 2019 Flyer Invitational, the Bobcats have wrapped up the fall portion of their 2019-20 season. Stay tuned to OhioBobcats.com for their spring slate later this fall.
