SILVER LAKE, Ohio – Ohio women’s golf team wrapped up competition at the 2017 Mid-American Conference Championships hosted by Kent State at the Silver Lake Country Club. The Bobcats finished tied third place after shooting a 316 on Sunday for a three round total of 922 (+58). Senior Hailey Hrynewich finished the championships tied for fifth place after shooting a 77 on Sunday.
Hrynewich (Muskegon, Mich.) finished the tournament tied for fifth place after shooting a 77 on Sunday. Overall, Hrynewich finished the competition with a three-round total of 227 (+11) earning Second Team All-MAC honors and a spot on the MAC All-Tournament Team.
Freshman Marissa Balish (Allison Park, Pa.) finished the tournament tied for 12th place after shooting a 75 on Sunday, finishing the competition with a three-day total of 230 (+14).
Junior Lily Pendy (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) finished the weekend tied for 18th place after shooting a third round score of 80, finishing the event with a tournament total of 233 (+17).
Sophomore Nicole Smiley (Dublin, Ohio) finished the 2017 MAC Championships tied for 26th place after shooting an 84 on Sunday, finishing the event with a three round total of 236 (+20).
Rounding our the Bobcat golfers was sophomore Emily Hughes (Columbus, Ohio) who finished this year’s championship tied for 30th place, after shooting a third round score of 85, finishing the event with a total of 240 (+24).
Kent State won the 2017 MAC Championships for the 19th-straight year, finishing with a three-day total of 875 (+11).
