QUOTABLE
Second-year head coach Saul Phillips on bench contributions
"The storylines are pretty obvious with Tone and Jaaron, but Gavin and Mike Laster, to me, tonight, were guys who stepped up. I'm not going to tell you what (redshirt senior forward) Treg (Setty) was doing in the locker room in the first half, but he needed a breath mint afterward. He wasn't feeling very good, and we got into some foul trouble. Mike had a day in practice the other day that made me almost lose my mind in terms of we were trying to guard him and we couldn't do it. So, on a gut feel, we put him in."

Redshirt sophomore guard Jaaron Simmons on his four triples
"They helped off of me. I saw the first one go in, so I shot another one. I saw the next one in, so I shot another one. It just felt good today, and I was happy to see it go in."

Freshman forward Gavin Block on Ohio's three-point defense
"We had to get over those ball screens. They were doing a good job, and they have good three-point shooters off of those pick-and-pops. They hit a couple early, but we took care of it and settled it. I think that really, really changed the game when we took away their three-pointer."

UP NEXT
The Bobcats will play the first of two-straight road contests at MAC West Division foes on Saturday (Jan. 23), heading to Mount Pleasant, Mich., to clash with Central Michigan (9-9, 2-3 MAC) in a 4:30 p.m. ET matchup at McGuirk Arena. The Chippewas fell in a 75-70 battle at Northern Illinois on Tuesday.
