The Basics
• Score: Belmont 83, Ohio 81
• Records: Ohio (2-2), Belmont (6-1)
• Location: Convocation Center - Athens, Ohio
• The Short Story: Belmont junior guard Craig Bradshow converted a layup with under a second left to hand the Ohio men's basketball team (2-2) an 83-81 loss to the Bruins (6-1) on Saturday (Nov. 29) at the Convocation Center.

How It Happened
• The Bobcats lost despite putting together their best shooting performance of the 2014-15 season to date. Ohio shot a season-best 49.3 percent (33-of-67) from the field and scored a season-high 81 points.
• Redshirt senior guard Javarez Willis (Homer, La.) totaled a career-high 25 points to lead Ohio, knocking down a career-high 10 field goals and matching his career high by converting five of his three-point attempts. The contest marked his third double-digit scoring effort of the season and 13th of his career and marked the second time he has exceeded the 20-point mark in a game at Ohio.
• Senior guard Stevie Taylor (Gahanna, Ohio) added a season-high 17 points and dished out a season-high five assists to lead the 'Cats. He reached double figures for the first time this season and 16th time in his career.
• Freshman guard Ryan Taylor (Gary, Ind.) achieved double figures for the second time in his first four collegiate games, scoring 16 points off of 7-of-10 shooting in addition to hauling in five rebounds and distributing two assists.
• Senior forward Maurice Ndour (Mbour, Senegal) just missed out on his second straight double-double with nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds. He also recorded four assists. Ndour recorded double-digit boards for the second straight game, third time this season and ninth time in his career.
Sophomore forward Antonio Campbell (Cincinnati, Ohio) once again put it quality work off of the bench, scoring nine points and hauling in nine rebounds.
• Bradshaw's effort proved to be the difference for the Bruins, as he scored a game-high 42 points off of 14-of-22 shooting -- including 8-of-12 from beyond the arc. He also sunk all six of his free throw attempts. Sophomore forward Nick Smith (15) and sophomore guard/forward Evan Bradds (10) also reached double figures, with Bradds also leading Belmont with seven boards. Redshirt senior guard Reece Chamberlain dished out a game-high seven assists.

• Belmont jumped out to a 30-19 lead with just over nine minutes to play in the first half, but the Bobcats answered with a 22-7 run highlighted by two layups by Stevie Taylor, treys by Willis and Campbell, a jumper by Ryan Taylor, a dunk by Campbell and a jumper and another three by Willis to give Ohio a four-point lead at 41-37 with 2:20 left.
• The Bruins took a 44-41 lead into halftime and built their lead back up to five twice in the first three minutes of the second half, but the ensuing 16-plus minutes featured eight ties and neither team being able to completely swing momentum in their favor.
• Ohio took a 79-77 lead on a putback dunk by Ndour off of his own missed layup with just 53 seconds to go. A three by Smith gave Belmont an 80-79 advantage 21 seconds later. Redshirt senior guard/forward Holden Mobley converted the first of his two free throw attempts with 16 seconds left to make it a two-point contest at 81-79 but missed the second to give Willis the opportunity to tie the game for the ninth time in the half at 81-all with six seconds left. Unfortunately for the Bobcats, that left just enough time for the Bruins to go the length of the floor and convert the game-winning layup.

Up Next
• Ohio plays host to St. Bonaventure next Saturday (Dec. 6) at the Convocation Center. Tip time is 2 p.m. ET.
