THE BASICS
• The Ohio volleyball team (13-4, 6-0 MAC) improved to 6-0 in Mid-American Conference play for the first time in three years, bouncing East Division rival Bowling Green (4-14, 1-5 MAC), 3-0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-21), on Saturday (Oct. 11) at the Stroh Center.
• The Bobcats chalked up their seventh straight victory and have won 12 of their last 13 matches. 
• Senior outside hitter Kelly Lamberti (Cary, Ill.) propelled the 'Cats to victory with her second straight double-double, eighth of the season and 57th of her career with a match-high 14 kills to go along with 13 digs. The 2014 Preseason All-MAC East Division selection also tallied a match-high three service aces to go along with three assisted blocks and an assist.
• Freshman outside hitter Jaime Kosiorek (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) totaled 12 kills and chipped in two service aces.
• Junior middle blocker Karin Bull (Bloomington, Minn.) totaled seven kills while committing just one attack error in 14 attempts for a .429 hitting percentage.
• Junior middle blocker/outside hitter Shelby Walker (Bradenton, Fla.) compiled a match-high five assisted blocks.
• Junior setter Abby Gilleland (Bull Valley, Ill.) dished out a match-high 38 assists.
• Junior libero Meredith Ashy (Louisville, Ky.) piled up a team-high 15 digs on the defensive end.
• Freshman outside hitter Nicole Slimko led Bowling Green with 13 kills while senior middle blocker Kelsey Bates also finished in double figures with 11 kills. Senior setter Erica Fullenkamp achieved a double-double with a team-high 30 assists to go along with 13 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Jelena Sunjic chipped in both a solo block and an assisted block. Sophomore defensive specialist/libero Madeline Garda piled up a match-high 20 digs. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Bobcats broke a 24-all deadlock in the opening set with a kill by Kosiorek, then took a 1-0 match lead courtesy of an attack error by the Falcons. 
• After building up a 15-11 advantage in the second set, Ohio ended the match on a 10-5 run, using two kills apiece by Kosiorek, Lamberti and Bull to pave the way.
• Bowling Green raced out to an 11-5 lead in the third stanza, but the Bobcats thundered back with a 13-5 run to take an 18-16 lead. The Falcons shaved Ohio’s lead two at 23-21, but a double block by Lamberti and Bull and a kill by Lamberti to secure the sweep.
 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
• Ohio held Bowling Green without a service ace.

WHAT'S NEXT
Ohio concludes its four-match road trip next weekend with a pair of matches against MAC West Division opponents, visiting Ball State on Friday (Oct. 17) and Toledo on Saturday (Oct. 18). Friday's match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET while Saturday's gets underway at 5 p.m. ET.
