BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Ohio volleyball team (14-17, 12-6 MAC) fell to Bowling Green (17-14, 10-8 MAC) 3-1 (20-25, 16-25, 25-19, 17-25) in the quarterfinals of the 2025 MAC Volleyball Championships on Friday, Nov. 21.
Ohio finished with a .205 attack percentage, 46 kills, seven aces, five blocks, 44 assists and 43 digs. Bowling Green finished with a .369 attack percentage, 51 kills, six aces, five blocks, 47 assists and 45 digs.
Freshman
Bailey Blair (Louisville, Ky.) led the team with 10 kills in addition to 11.5 points. Juniors
Emily Waddell (Carmel, Ind.) and
Gentry Brown (Shadyside, Ohio) recorded eight kills each. Waddell tallied a team-high three aces and 11.5 points. Brown added a team-high nine digs in addition to one ace and two assists. Senior
Kendall White (Gahanna, Ohio) and sophomore
Bryn Janke (Westfield, Wis.) combined for 36 assists. Sophomore
Sierra Evans (Silver Spring, Md.), junior
Olivia Gardner (Macomb, Mich.) and Blair recorded a team-high two blocks each.
Bowling Green took a 2-0 lead over Ohio with a 25-20 win in the first set and a 25-16 win in the second set. Ohio cut Bowling Green's lead to 2-1 with a 25-19 win in the third set. The Falcons defeated Ohio, 3-1, with a 25-17 win in the fourth and final.
