Day One Results 
ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University men's golf team sits in a tie for 13th place with the College of Charleston after two rounds at the Firestone Invitational. The Bobcats posted a team score of 604 (305-299, +28).
Washington State leads the pack having shot a 580 (+4). Kansas State sits in second place with a team score of 588 (+12).
Freshman Peyton White (Huntersville, N.C.) - fresh off MAC Men's Golfer of the week honors - fired a 150 (77-73). White is tied for 32nd place with teammate Andrew Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) who also shot a 150 (75-75). Mlynarski posted six birdies on the day.
The remaining three Bobcats finished bunched together in the field. Senior Bradley Lucas (Worthington, Ohio) shot a 155 is tied for 68th place. After opening with an 82, Lucas carded a much improved 72 (E) in round two to move up 16 spots.
Senior Phil Gieseker (Saline, Mich.) finished just behind in a tie for 71st place having shot a 156 (74-82).
Junior Thomas Leech (Pittsburgh, Pa.), playing in his first tournament of the fall season, posted a score of 157 (79-78) and rests in a tie for 75th place.
