ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Ohio men's golf team returned to action for their second tournament of the week Sept. 13-14 at the 2025 Golden Grizzles Intercollegiate. The two-day event was hosted by Oakland at the Katke-Cousins Golf Club. The Bobcats finished the weekend in eighth place overall with a score of 887 (+35.)
Butler won this year's event, finishing five-over.
As a team, Ohio opened the tournament with a score of 299, before finishing the day with a 292. The Bobcats wrapped up Sunday with a 296 for an overall score of 887 (+35).
The Bobcats were led by senior
Will Kates (Centennial, Colo.). Kates opened the weekend up with a 70, before wrapping up round two with a 73. Kates then returned to action on Sunday and finished the day with a 75, giving him a two-day total of 218 (+5), helping him placed tied for 14
th overall.
Senior
Nathaniel Gray Lamont (Guelph, Ontario) placed tied for 22 after opening Saturday with a 75, before closing the day with a round of 72. Gray Lamont was back in action on Sunday, finishing his third round with a 73, giving him a total of 220, helping him finish seven-over.

Carson Trafford (Dublin, Ohio) placed tied for 37
th, opening day one with a 79, before a 73 in rounds two and three, giving him a two-day total of 225 (+12). Freshman
Rylan Hall (Stratford, Ontario, Canada) also finished tied for 37
th, recording a 75 in all three rounds for a tournament total of 225 (+12).

Jack Flores (Worthington, Ohio) rounded out the Bobcats, finishing tied for 58
th. Flores finished Saturday with rounds of 80 and 74, before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday with a 77, giving him a two-day total of 231 (+18).
Ohio Is back in action Sept. 28-30 at the Carolina Cup in Spartanburg, S.C.
