Athens, Ohio - The Ohio University women’s golf team finished 10th at the EKU Lady Colonel Classic in Richmond, Kentucky.
Megan Weaver (Dublin, Ohio) was almost able to duplicate her blistering first round with a final-round 75. Overall, she finished seven strokes out of the top five and amassed the top Bobcat score which placed her 27th. The Bobcats finished the tournament with 17 total birdies.
Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) matched her opening round with a 78 to finish 35th, while Jordan Fesh (Toledo, Ohio) improved by five strokes from her opening round, shooting a final-round 81. Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) and Meryl Weaver (Canton, Ohio finished with scores of 86 and 87 on Sunday for the Green and White.
Morehead State pulled away from Kentucky to take the team title by four strokes. Arkansas State, Toledo and Murray State closed out the top five. Anna Carling of Arkansas State (+6) was able to fend off Marisa Kamelgam of Morehead State by one stroke for the individual title. Alex Alang (+8) and Marissa Steen (+9) of Memphis were joined by Paige Lausier (+9) of Morehead State in the top five
