Women's Golf in Seventh at MAC Championships

NASHPORT, Ohio - The Ohio University women's golf team posted a total of 682 (+106) in the first two rounds of the Mid-American Conference Championships on Friday to stand in seventh place after 36 holes of play.

Sophomore Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) carded rounds of 81 (+9) and 83 (+11) to wrap up the first day of play in 14th place with a total of 164 (+20). Freshman Megan Weaver (Canton, Ohio) is just five strokes behind Cahill with a total of 169 (+25), good for a share of 22nd place, while junior Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) shot 171 (+27) on Friday to enter the clubhouse in 29th place.

Senior Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) and junior Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) rounded out the Ohio lineup in 39th and 45th place, respectively, with scores of 178 (+34) and 193 (+49).

The MAC Championships will resume at 7:45 a.m. ET on Saturday with the playing of another 18 holes of golf.
