Ohio vs. Wooster
Nov. 1, 2008
The Convo - Athens, Ohio
Game Notes

Ohio held Wooster scoreless for a stretch of 2:17 (15:23-13:06) in the first half, taking a 14-5 lead at the 14:06 mark before Wooster finally found an answer with a bucket at the 13:16 mark.

Wooster's 33 points in the first half were an Ohio opponent's lowest since the Bobcats gave up 31 to Bradley in the second round of the CBI last season on March 24, 2008.

Tommy Freeman netted 15 points - what would have been a career best - in the first half, marking just the third time in his career that the sophomore has scored in double-figures. Freeman scored his 15 points in just nine minutes of play in the first half, and finished the game with 17 points in 20 minutes of play. The Bobcats have won all three games that Freeman scores in double figures.

Ohio used two 7-0 runs, a 6-0 run and a 5-0 run in the first half to open up an 11 point half-time lead.

Sophomore forward DeVaughn Washington scored seven of his 11 points in the second half.

The Bobcats held Wooster without a point for 5:35 in the second half (14:34-8:59). In that stretch, Ohio used an 11-0 run to take a 17-point lead.

Senior guard Michael Allen and senior forward Jerome Tillman each had four steals, setting what would have been a new career high for the latter and matching what would have been his career best for Allen

Sophomore forward DeVaughn Washington also matched what would have been five career bests in free throw attempts (6), rebounds (4), blocks (2), steals (1) and minutes (23).

Senior forward Jerome Tillman set what would have been a career best in free throw attempts, taking 13 from line.

After being held without a field goal to start the second half, Ohio rattled off three straight field goals and finished a 3:07 stretch going four-for-seven from the floor.
