Ohio vs. Western Michigan Quotes
Oct. 25, 2008
Convocation Center - Athens, Ohio

Head Coach Ryan Theis
On establishing first contact:
I would say that [not establishing momentum] was the case in game one. In game two, we had a lead. We had a lead and didn't hold it. There were a couple of really key plays that allowed Western to get into it that we made critical errors on and didn't execute. They kept bringing the ball back, and in those situations we're at the advantage and we didn't take advantage of it in game two. Really, we do our business in two and hopefully there is no game five. I'm more disappointed in game two and the beginning of five than any other aspect of the match at this point.

On the give-and-take nature of the match:
In all honesty, game two was the only situation where errors were the factor. After a three or four point run, those are situations where we're being aggressive and we're scoring--sure, errors are going to happen. We're thankful that we got the three or four point run. Game two and early in game five are the only situations where we really failed to execute and Western picked it up.

On Western Michigan's ability to capitalize on mistakes:
That's what they do. They're very good at that. They don't make many, but they did in games three and four and we were able to capitalize and win by significant margins in those games. But they didn't give us any in games one and two and they sure didn't give us any in five. So they take advantage of everything. That's what they're best at.
