UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Ohio women's golf team wrapped up the 54-hole Nittany Lion Invitational with a 10th place finish after a final round 331 Sunday.

Competing with 13 other teams in the tournament that was played on the Blue Course on Penn State's campus, the Bobcats slipped from seventh place on Friday to 10th following Saturday's action, and were unable to improve their position in Sunday's final round.

Shanna Siefke (Toledo, Ohio) had her best round this fall when she carded a 79 on Sunday to pace the Bobcats. Her five-over round was the second best by an Ohio golfer this weekend and helped her to a 35th place finish with a 246 composite score.

Meredith Waterston (Bloomington, Minn.), who led the Bobcats with a 78 in the first round, finished one stroke behind Siefke in the tournament and tied for 36th.

Kristen Mautz (Upper Arlington, Ohio) matched her first round 82 in Sunday's final 18 holes to total a 251 on the weekend, good enough for 43rd place.

Lauren Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) placed 65th (262) in her first collegiate tournament and Katie Stafford (Phoenix, Ariz.) finished in a tie for 67th (266).

Host Penn State took the tournament title with a composite score of 927, 10 strokes ahead of second place Washington (937) and 79 in front of Ohio (1006).

PSU's Evelyn Paik capture the individual title with a 54-hole 224, five shots ahead of Yale's Lindsay Hong.

The Bobcat women will next be in action in the Shootout at The Legends, a two-day tournament held in Franklin, Ind., Oct. 9-10.
