The No. 16 Ohio (7-3) volleyball team's seven-game winning streak came to an end with a 3-1 loss to San Diego at the USD Invitational on Friday night. The Toreros came from behind to defeat the Bobcats by scores of 25-30, 30-27, 30-27, 30-24.

The Bobcats' consecutive win record against unranked opponents also ends at 66.

MAC Player of the Week Ellen Herman (Toledo, Ohio) and junior Melissa Griffin (Whitehall, Mich.) led the Bobcats' offense with 15 and 11 kills, respectively. Setter Savanah Parra (Temecula, Calif.) chipped in 43 assists.

Stephanie Blackburn (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the defense with 25 digs. Michaele Blackburn (Cincinnati, Ohio) had 18 digs and Savanah Parra (Temecula, Calif.) chipped in 16.

San Diego had four players score in double digits in kills. Kristen Carlson led all scorers with a double-double of 22 kills and 20 digs. Christie Dawson had 18 kills, Laurel Abrahamson chipped in 16 kills and Erin Wiskar added 12 along with 10 digs.

The Bobcats opened the USD Invitational with a win over Brown (1-3) 30-24, 30-20, 30-20.

Herman and sophomore Amanda Andersen (Lino Lakes, Minn.) led the Bobcats with 13 kills apiece. Griffin had 11 kills and Jane Sytsma (Madison, Wis.) chipped in 10. Three players had double figures in digs led by Stephanie Blackburn (Cincinnati, Ohio) with 17. Michaele Blackburn (Cincinnati, Ohio) had 14 digs and Parra had 12 digs.

Rikki Baldwin had 14 kills for the Browns and Shawn-Elyse Tulac posted 11.
