Dak Notestine

Dak Notestine serves as the Director of Strength & Conditioning within the Ohio University Athletic Department. He currently oversees the strength & conditioning programs for Ohio football and women’s basketball. 

In his time with Ohio football, the Bobcats have been incredibly successful. The team has been two-time MAC East Division champions while maintaining bowl eligibility every single season, with the team’s first bowl victory in the 2011 Idaho Potato Bowl against Utah State. Since taking over as Head Strength & Conditioning coach in 2017, the Bobcats have won three straight bowl games (2017-2019). 

In Notestine’s time with Ohio women’s basketball, the Bobcats have also enjoyed incredible success. The program has recorded two MAC regular season championships and set the program win record twice, most recently in 2018 with 30 wins. Also in 2018, the team recorded its deepest postseason tournament run, reaching the WNIT Elite Eight. 

In his time at Ohio, Notestine has worked with numerous teams including baseball (2016), cheerleading (2011-13), golf (2011-13), soccer (2012-15) and volleyball (2012-15). 

Notestine received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology at Ohio University in 2010 and was a member of the football team, helping the Bobcats capture two MAC East Division championships duirng his tenure. He started his playing career as a walk-on and worked his way to a starting position at defensive end. He was voted as a team captain in his senior campaign.

Notestine also holds a Masters of Science Degree in Recreation and Sports Sciences with a special emphasis on Coaching Education and Strength Conditioning from Ohio University. He is an NSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and CSCCA certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.
