Brennan Whitis

Brennan Whitis enters his third season as the Ohio Men's Golf head coach. Prior to his role as head coach, Whitis served as the assistant coach working with interim head coach Kelly Ovington. 

Before joining the Ohio family, Whitis served as a graduate assistant for Toledo men's golf program's from 2018-20. He was in charge of daily operations of the team and assisted with facets of recruiting and fundraising. Aside fromm being on the coachin staff, he managed the program's social media platforms.

In 2019, Whitis helped coach the Rockets to a third-place finish at the Mid-American Conference Championships; marking the program's highest finish at the conference tournament since 2014-15. Senior Duncan McNeill won the MAC's individual title at the 2019 conference tournament and became Toledo's first conference champion since 2008.

Whitis competed collegiately at Wittenberg from 2014-18. As a four-year letter-winner, Whitis was a member of the program's 2016-17 NCAA Division III National Championship winning team and served as team captain for the Tigers during the 2017-18 season.

Coach Whitis graduated in 2018 from Wittenberg with a bachelor's degree in marketing and a minor in sport management. He later earned a master's degree in recreation and leisure administration from Toledo in 2020.
