Prior to Ohio: Originally from Germany, Ehret moved to Clearwater, Florida where he attends Clearwater Academy... As a junior, Ehret helped CAI achieve a 10-1 record and its second consecutive Sunshine State Independent Association championship... In the past two seasons, Ehret recorded 23 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, and nine forced fumbles... Prior to Clearwater, Ehret played captained the Freiburg Sacristians, an under-16 football team in Germany... He was named team MVP in 2020 and 2021.  
 
Personal: Ehret is the son of Urban and Erika Ehret and has one older sister, Sarah... His cousin, Yannik Keitel, is a defensive midfielder with over 60 appearances for the German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg... Plans to study sport management during his academic career in Athens...
