2022-23: Competed in nine meets as a freshman including the CSCAA National Invitational Championship where she placed in the top 20 in the 1000-yard freestyle… Placed first in the 500-yard freestyle, third in the 1650-yard freestyle and 12th in the 200-yard freestyle at the MAC Championships…  Member of the 800-yard freestyle relay… Finished first in the 1000-yard and 500-yard freestyle against Denison and at the Toledo and Buffalo tri-meet… Recorded multiple podium finishes… Named MAC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-MAC. 

Prior to Ohio: Earned four varsity letters for diving at Yorktown High School under coach Torey Ortmayer… Captained the team in 2022… Awarded Washington Post honorable mention in 2020 and 2022… Helped her team win the district championship three times (2019-2022) … Regional champions in 2022… State champion in 2021.
 
Personal: Born July 21^st, 2004… Daughter of Gina Beck and John Hartel… Has two sisters, Olivia and Audrey… Enjoys reading, child development, biking, and knitting in her free time… Favorite athlete is Katie Ledecky and Torri Huske… Plans to pursue career as a pediatrician or vet.
