2022-23: Competed in nine meets… Finished sixth in the 100-yard freestyle, fifth in the 200-yard freestyle and sixth in the 500-yard freestyle at the MAC Championships… Member of the 400-yard, 200-yard and 800-yard freestyle relays… Placed second in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle against Marshall… Named Second Team All-MAC and Academic All-MAC… Nominated for Most Outstanding Senior… Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. 

2021-22: Member of the Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Academic All-MAC team with a 3.974 cumulative GPA… Helped her squad place 13th with a time of 1:33.63 in the 200 free relay at the 2022 CSCAA National Invitational Championship.

2020-21: Posted season-best 50 free time of 24.11 and 100 back time of 56.38 at 2020 Miami Invite… Swam season-best 200 free time of 1:50.38 at Akron Last Chance Meet… Finished fourth in 200 and 500 free at MAC Championships, earning 30 points… Academic All-MAC...Second Team All-MAC.

2019-20: Made freshman debut at 2019 Ohio State Open, competing in four events including a career-best 50 free time of 23.87… Posted season-best 200 free time of 1:47.81 at MAC Championships… Earned 15 points with a fourth-place finish in 500 free at MAC Championships...MAC Freshman of the Year.

Prior to Ohio: A dual sport athlete, Fortman decided to pursue swimming over volleyball in college.  She qualified for the OHSAA State Championship her sophomore, junior and senior years, becoming a finalist in the 50 yard free, 100 free and 100 back. As a junior she placed sixth in the 50 free and eighh in the 100 free. She followed that up by placing third in the 100 free and fourth  in the 100 back at the 2018 Division II State Championship.
