ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio football has been in fall camp for more than a week as the Bobcats continue preparations for the 2026 season.
Hear from Defensive Coordinator Kurt Mattix as he joins Director of Broadcast Gabe Genovesi to discuss the Bobcats' defense through the first week of fall camp, what has stood out and what the unit hopes to improve before kickoff. Ohio opens the 2026 season on the road at Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 5. The Bobcats will return to Peden Stadium for their home opener on Saturday, Sept. 12, when they host Jacksonville State at 6 p.m.
