ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – The Ohio Men's Golf team wrapped up the second round at the 2026 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Men's Golf Championships this afternoon (May 4).
The Bobcats maintained their spot in eighth place by recording a team score of 304 (+20), a seven-stroke improvement from round one. Leading the Bobcats on Monday was senior
Carson Trafford (Dublin, Ohio), who shot a two-over par 73.
In the team standings, Eastern Michigan maintained their spot atop the leaderboard by the slimmest of margins, holiding a one stroke lead over Miami in the team competition after 36 holes.
Trafford was steady and consistent throughout his day, recording a birdie on each nine and adding 11 pars in his round. Trafford's strong play vaulted him 13 spots up the individual leaderboard into a tie for 27
th place.
Next for the Bobcats was senior
Nathaniel Gray Lamont (Guelph, Ontario), who made three birdies on the day en route to a six-over 77, leaving him in a tie for 21
st.
Freshman
Rylan Hall (Strafford, Ontario) improved on opening round with a round of 77, featuring a birdie on the par-four fifth hole at Holliday Farms. Hall sits in 33
rd place after 36 holes, moving three spots up the leaderboard.
Senior
Jack O'Donnell made his 2026 MAC Championship debut on Monday, also recording a six-over 77 that puts him in a tie for 48
th on the individual leaderboard.
Rounding out play for the Bobcats was senior
Will Kates (Centennial, Co.), who carded a 79 in his second round, including a birdie on the par-five seventh hole. Kates sits in a tie for 27
th after 36 holes of play.
The Bobcats will return for the final day of competition at Holliday Farms tomorrow (May 5), with tee times starting at 9 a.m.
