ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio men's basketball senior guard
Jackson Paveletzke has been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced today (March 24). The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Paveletzke (Kimberly Wis.), a general studies major, sports a 3.55 GPA and it is the second time he has earned Academic All-District honors. This season, Paveletzke led the Bobcats in scoring, averaging 17.3 points a game, while shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from three and 80.5 percent from the line, while averaging 3.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. Paveletzke also led the Bobcats and the league in minutes per game, averaging 36.7 minutes.
In MAC play, Paveletzke averaged 18.6 points a game, while shooting 46.3 percent from the field, 30.0 percent from three and 79.9 percent from the line. He also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 37.7 minutes a game. He as also named Second Team All-MAC.
This season, Paveletzke recorded 26 double figure scoring games, 11 20-point games and two double doubles. He's led the Bobcats in scoring 17 times, in assists 23 times and was named MAC Player of the Week on Jan. 12. His biggest game of the season came on March 6 against No. 19 Miami, where he scored a career-high 37 points, for his first career 30-point game. He went 12-of-25 from the field, while dishing out a game-high six assists. Paveletzke also hit the game-winning three as time expired on Jan. 3 at Eastern Michigan, helping erase a 20-point deficit and secure the victory for the Bobcats.
Paveletzke will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 14, 2025.
