ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio softball is back in Athens this week to host Pitt, before welcoming Central Michigan for a three-game MAC series, while track and field gets the outdoor season underway at the Raleigh Relays! The Ohio softball team (19-11, 3-3 MAC) is back in action for four games this week starting on Tuesday, March 24 when the Bobcats host Pitt (17-12, 4-5 ACC). First pitch is set for 5 p.m. ET at the Ohio Softball Field and can be seen on ESPN+. Ohio is back in action for three MAC matchups against Central Michigan (13-12, 4-2 MAC) starting on Friday, March 27 at 3 p.m. ET. The series concludes on Saturday, March 28 with a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. ET at the OSF. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Ohio is coming off a 2-1 weekend that saw the Bobcats take the weekend series over NIU, 2-1, with Ohio winning games one and three, while the Huskies took game two. Sophomore designated player Jordyn Wycuff helped lead the Bobcats at the plate. Overall, Wycuff hit .600 with three hits in five at bats, with one double and one home run. She scored two runs and had four RBI. She recorded a 1.400 slugging percentage, a 2.000 OPS and a .600 on base percentage.
Pitt is 17-12 overall, 4-5 in the ACC and is coming off a series win at home against Boston College this past weekend. Pitt is led by KK Esparza with a .418 batting average, recording 28 hits, three doubles and six home runs. She adds 25 RBI and nine runs scored, while slugging, .731. Tieley Vaughn has started in all 29 games for the Panthers, hitting .363, with 33 hits, four doubles, one triple and three home runs, while adding 14 RBI and 31 runs scored. In the circle, Bekah Duck is 3-4 overall with a 2.55 ERA, allowing 20 runs, 16 earned, with 32 walks and 28 strikeouts in 44.0 innings.
Central Michigan is 13-12 overall and 4-2 in MAC play. CMU is coming off a series win at home against Ball State this past weekend. Angela Petrovitch leads CMU with a .416 batting average, recording 37 hits, two doubles and three triples, while scoring 21 runs and recording eight RBI. Jenna Kuzara adds a .412 batting average, while 35 hits, 12 doubles and five home runs in 25 games. In the circle, Mackenzie Langan has made 13 starts and holds a 4-5 record. She has a 3.34 ERA, allowing 28 earned runs in 58.2 innings, while walking 30 and striking out 58.
MEN'S GOLF

The Ohio men's golf team is back in action March 23-25 for the 2026 Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate in Pittburg, Tennessee. The three-day event is hosted by Miami at Sweetens Cove Country Club.
Teams competing in this year's event are; Belmont, Northern Kentucky, Miami, Seton Hall, Ohio, Queens, Wright State and Bowling Green.
On the course for the Bobcats this week are seniors Nathaniel Gray Lamont, Will Kates, Carson Trafford and Sheil Iyer, graduate student Sam Hall and freshman Rylan Hall.
Ohio last competed at the Donald Ross Collegiate and the Hampden Sydney Invitational March 9-11. At the Donald Ross Collegiate, the Bobcats finished 13th of 20 competing teams, with a final score of 884 (+20). Individually, senior Nathaniel Gray Lamont (Guelph, Ontario) once again led the way for the Bobcats, firing rounds of 72, 74, and 72 across the three day tournament for a total of 218, finishing two over par. Lamont's +2 score was good for a T-22 finish in the nearly 100 player field at Mid-Pines. Gray Lamont's even par 72 in Wednesday's third and final round shot him 14 spots up the individual leaderboard into a tie for 22nd in the 100 player field.
Elsewhere, freshman Jack Flores, competed for the Bobcats at the Hampden Sydney Invitational at nearby Foxfire Golf Club. Flores shot consecutive rounds of 77 in the tournament to finish at a 154 (+10), tying for 41st in the 120-player field.
TRACK AND FIELD

The Ohio track and field squad opens the 2026 outdoor season this week when Ohio heads to Raleigh, N.C. March 26-28 for the 2026 Raleigh Relays. The three-day event will begin at roughly 9 a.m. ET each day at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility and be seen on ACCNX.
Ohio last competed at the 2026 Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships Feb. 27-28. The Bobcats placed ninth overall. Freshman Alyvia Mentlow earned a bronze medal in the women's 200m finals. In her first championships, Mentlow recorded a personal-best time of 24.64. The distance medley relay team, comprised of sophomore Kaitlyn Stewart, sophomore Ava Kincaid, senior Sara Doughman and junior Ellie Greenwell, placed third overall with a time of 11:41.55. Another bronze medal came from graduate student Kelsi Harris in the women's 5,000 meters. Harris ran an impressive PR of 16:19.49, the second-fastest indoor time in program history.
The 2026 Cherry Blossom Invite is set to take place next Friday, April 3. The annual event is set to begin at 11 a.m. ET at Goldsberry Track, with Senior Day festivities set to begin at 11:45 a.m. ET.

The Ohio baseball team (5-19, 3-6 MAC) is back on the road March 27-29 when they travel to Muncie, Ind. for a three-game series against Ball State (12-10, 7-2 MAC). The series begins on Friday, March 27 at 3 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday are set to begin at 1 p.m. ET. All three games will take place at Shebek Stadium and be seen on ESPN+.
Ohio is coming off a solid weekend where they earned the series win at Bowling Green, picking up victories on Saturday and Sunday. In Ohio's 8-5 win on Saturday, graduate student Colton Shirley went 3-for-5 with two runs and recorded one RBI, while junior Tyler Stack went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs and one RBI. Junior Taylor Harris went 2-for-4 at the plate, including a home run, three RBI, and two runs. On the mound, sophomore Hunter Winston got the win, with 5.1 innings pitched, allowing one run on three hits, walked one and struck out three. Then in Sunday's 7-3 win, senior Cam Hill went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and on the mound, junior AJ Dallmayer got the start, with three innings pitched, allowing two runs on three hits, walked four and struck out five.
Ball State is 12-10 overall and 7-2 in MAC play and are coming off a series win at Western Michigan this past weekend and will take on Southern Indiana on Tuesday before hosting the Bobcats. Jacob Gillis is hitting .358 with 29 hits, two doubles and seven home run, while scoring 17 runs and recording 20 RBI. On the mound, Owen Quinn has thrown 24.0 innings with a 1.88 ERA, allowing five earned runs, six walks and 16 strikeouts. Brendan Garza has a 4.91 ERA in 33.0 innings thrown, allowing 18 earned runs, nine walks and 28 strikeouts.
VOLLEYBALL

The Ohio volleyball team is set to host it's first spring match inside the Convocation Center this weekend. The Bobcats are set to welcome Ohio State to Athens on Saturday, March 28 at 2 p.m. ET. The event is free to all fans to attend.
The Bobcats are coming off a 14-17 season and a 12-6 mark in MAC play, that saw the Bobcats make the MAC Tournament as the sixth seed. At the end of the season, Kenzie Brinkman was named Ohio's 13th head volleyball coach, removing the interim tag she has held since May 2025.
