ATHENS, Ohio— The Ohio football program added seven student-athletes to the 2026 signing class on Wednesday (Feb. 4). 
 
The Bobcats added linebacker Mac Capen (Newfane, N.Y.), long snapper Kevin Fay (Potomac, Md.), kicker Will Hryszko (Strongsville, Ohio), linebacker Nolan Ogburn (Kettering, Ohio), tight end Riley Palmeter (Edinburgh, Ind.), kicker/punter Owen Schaadt (West Chester, Pa.), wide receiver MC Walker (Columbus, Ohio) to the 2026 roster. 
 
The 2026 signing class features: 

• Five offensive linemen 
• One running back 
• One quarterback 
• Four wide receivers
• One tight end 
• Three defensive tackles 
• One defensive end 
• Three safeties
• Two cornerbacks 
• Three linebackers
• Two kickers 
• One long snapper  
• Student-athletes from nine different states  
• 15 student-athletes from Ohio 

 
In total, the 2026 signing class boasts 27 student-athletes, including those who signed during the early signing period. 
 
MAC CAPEN

2024 (Kent State): Played in 8 games for the Golden Flashes... Made 3 field goals on the season with a long of 40 yards coming against Akron... Had 24 kickoff attempts on the season for a total of 1440 yards... Went 15 for 15 on PATs in the 2024 season
 
2023 (Kent State): Saw some action as a kickoff man, averaging 59 yards a kick... Had 4 kick off attempts against Central Connecticut and knocked in a PAT.
 
2022 (Kent State): Made Flashes debut in home opener against LIU, kicked off 6 times
 
High School: Named Conference Special Teams Player of the Year…Hit 12 of 13 field goals, all 26 of his extra points and recorded 12 touchbacks in 2021…Rated the number 64 kicker in the country by Kohl's Kicking Camps…Rated 4.5 stars by Kohl's, who noted his strong leg

2025 (Marian): Played in 11 of 12 games as a fourth-year Knight, making two starts at receiver while playing on multiple special teams units ... Was the fourth-leading receiver on the team in receptions and yards ... Caught eight balls for 152 yards and one score ... Averaged 19.00 yards per catch ... Had one rush attempt for four yards ... Recorded two catches in three different games ... Had a season-high 56 yards with a long of 39 against Taylor ... Caught one pass in games against Olivet Nazarene and St. Francis (Ill.) ... Had two receptions for 41 yards, including a 39-yard receiving touchdown against Judson ... Recorded one tackle on special teams ... Named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the third time.

2024 (Marian): Played in all 10 games as a third-year Knight, making an impact on special teams and as the No. 4 receiver on the team ... Totaled six receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown on the season ... Made four total tackles on special teams, including a season-high two total stops against Concordia ... Made first catch of the season against Lawrence Tech, hauling in a 33-yard touchdown catch ... Had a 33-yard catch against Judson, matching his season-high ... Returned three kickoffs on the season as the up-man, totaling 40 yards ... Returned two kicks against Concordia for 26 yards ... Was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and MFSA Academic Team member for the second time. 

2023 (Marian): Appeared in all 11 games as a second-year Knight, carving a role on special teams and as a backup wide receiver ... Made one catch on the season as a receiver, making first career reception for four yards against Madonna ... Made nine total tackles on special teams ... Had three games with two solo tackles, coming against Taylor, Siena Heights, and St. Xavier ... Named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the first time.

2022 (Marian): Appeared in one game as a freshman and maintained a redshirt ... Made collegiate debut against Madonna.
