INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Ohio women's track & field team concluded day one of the Heartland Invitational with two top five program marks on Friday, Feb. 13.
Freshman
Alyvia Mentlow placed 13
th in the women's 60m with a PR of 7.69. Mentlow's time is the fourth fastest time in program history. Freshman Sydney Huckey took home 20
th place in the women's 400m with a PR of 57.33. Huckstep's time ranks fifth on the indoor all-time top five list.
Ohio kicked off the day with the women's weight throw. Freshman
Aubree Beery (Lancaster, Ohio) placed second with a mark of 17.56 meters (57-7.5). Sophomore
Lauren Mader (Green Bay, Wis.) recorded a personal-best mark of 15.30 meters (50-2.5), finishing in 18
th place.
Freshman
Zoey Caldwell competed in the women's 60m. Caldwell finished in 20
th place with a time of 9.05.
Two Bobcats finished in the top 10 of the women's 3,000 meters. Graduate student
Kelsi Harris (Liberty Township, Ohio) placed fourth with a time of 9:33.38. Graduate student
Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio) took home seventh place with a PR of 9:35.97.
The Bobcats will be back in action for day two of the Heartland Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 14.
