ATHENS, Ohio— Ohio Athletics has promoted one executive team member and added three administrators, Director of Athletics Slade Larscheid announced today (Oct. 14).
Senior Associate AD of NCAA Eligibility and Student-Athlete Success Randee Duffy assumed the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) title, with additional oversight of athletic compliance. Veteran athletics administrator Jason Franklin joined the staff as the Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations. Associate AD for External Operations Alyson Vander Steen joined Ohio Athletics in the spring 2026 and has since taken on additional external responsibilities. Josh Lockhart is the Bobcats' most recent addition, coming to Athens in Oct. 2026 as the department's Associate AD for Business and Administrative Operations/CFO.
"I am very excited to welcome the new additions, while recognizing the work put in by our executive staff," Larscheid said. "Each of these administrators embodies what it means to be an Ohio Bobcat. This group will all make an impact in their areas of oversight."
One of the longest-tenured employees in the Athletics department, Duffy has worked for Ohio Athletics since 2010, holding various titles and roles in NCAA Eligibility and Student-Athlete Success since then. She holds a bachelor of science in education and master of science in college student personnel and higher education, both from Ohio.
Franklin comes to Ohio by way of Wright State, where he held multiple positions dating back to Oct. 2003. Most recently, Franklin served as Wright State's deputy athletics director, overseeing facilities, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, as well as equipment and branding.
Lockhart joins the Bobcats after holding financial and administrative positions at Arizona, Texas A&M, and Rutgers. Combining experience in athletics business operations with his background as a former UConn track and field student-athlete, he brings a well-rounded perspective to Ohio's athletic department.
Vander Steen currently oversees the communications, digital, marketing and ticketing departments at Ohio. She brings more than a decade of experience in collegiate athletics, marketing and event operations and has received multiple NACMA awards across several institutions for excellence in marketing and fan engagement. Most recently, Vander Steen was at North Dakota State and Augustana, where she was an integral member of both institutions' marketing departments.
