ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio football program placed 8 student-athletes on the 2025 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday (Jan. 6).

Josh Waite are representing Ohio on the team.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Allen (Windemere, Fla.) started all 13 games for the Bobcats, making his final start against UNLV in the Scooters Coffee Frisco Bowl. Allen helped lead the offense to 27.8 points per game and the best rushing game in the conference with 227 yards per game and more than five yards per attempt. Allen also helped the offense to a total of 5,350 yards.
Bruno (Amherst, N.Y.) appeared in all 13 games for the Bobcats, logging three starts. Bruno kicked off the 2025 season with a bang, logging his first touchdowns as a Bobcat against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (Aug. 28).
Dorwart (Leonardtown, Md.) started seven times, appearing in all 13 games in the 2025 season. He logged his first reception against Gardner-Webb (Sept. 20). On the season, Dorwart was responsible for 119 yards on 11 receptions.
Gossett (Lewis Center, Ohio) appeared in all 13 games for Ohio, starting twice this season. In 12 receptions, Gossett recorded 162 receiving yards.
Herrmann (Sussex, Wis.) appeared in all 13 in his first season as a Bobcat.
Marinaro (Wayzata, Minn.) played in all 13 games at the center position for Ohio. Snapping the balls to Navarro, Marinaro helped the offense to 184.2 pass yards per game. The offense also ranked second in the MAC in points per game (27.8) and second in total touchdowns (46).
Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) started in all 13 games at quarterback for the Bobcats, amassing 188 completions for 2,375 passing yards and 14 passing touchdowns. Navarro was also productive in the run game with 886 yards and nine touchdowns. In his second season as a captain and the Bobcats' starting quarterback, Navarro surpassed 4,000 career passing yards, becoming the sixth Bobcat to ever do so. Navarro was a two-time MAC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 1 and Oct. 27), was added to the Hispanic College Football Player of the Year award watchlist (Oct. 1), and was named to the Davey O'Brien QB Class of 2025 (Oct. 30). Navarro earned MAC Male Scholar-Athlete recognition twice this season (Sept. 17 and Oct. 29) and was named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded to the nation's top scholar athlete. Notably, this makes him Ohio's first National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.
Waite (Roaring Springs, Pa.) appeared in all 13 games in his first season with the Bobcats. Previously, Waite earned D2 Academic All-District® at Shippensburg (2024).
