GREENWOOD, Ind. – Graduate student quarterback Parker Navarro was named to the 2025 Academic All-America® Second Team, as announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday (Jan. 27).
A two-time Bobcat, Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) most recently graduated with a 3.97 GPA, earning a Master of Science in Management (MSM). In 2024, he completed his bachelor's degree in integrated health.
In 2025, Navarro started in all 13 games at quarterback for the Bobcats, amassing 188 completions for 2,375 passing yards and 14 passing touchdowns. Navarro was also productive in the run game with 886 yards and nine touchdowns. In his second season as a captain and the Bobcats' starting quarterback, Navarro surpassed 4,000 career passing yards, becoming the sixth Bobcat to ever do so. Navarro was a two-time MAC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 1 and Oct. 27), was added to the Hispanic College Football Player of the Year award watchlist (Oct. 1), and was named to the Davey O'Brien QB Class of 2025 (Oct. 30). Navarro earned MAC Male Scholar-Athlete recognition twice this season (Sept. 17 and Oct. 29) and was named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded to the nation's top scholar athlete. Notably, this makes him Ohio's first National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.
