CLEVELAND,
Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced updated team and individual weight class rankings after 12 weeks of competition, with Ohio ranked eighth out of 12 teams.
Ohio dropped one spot from its preseason ranking of seventh, sitting one point behind Northern Illinois. Lock Haven leads the coaches' poll, followed by Rider and SIUE. A look at the full team rankings is listed below:

In addition to the team rankings, the conference shared individual weight class rankings, provided by WrestleStat. Four Ohio grapplers are ranked in the top five of their weight classes, with redshirt seniors
Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.) and
Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio) sitting in the top spot at 174 and 184 lbs, respectively. Perrine moves up from the number two spot last month, while Thompson makes his first appearance in this season's MAC rankings at the top.

Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio) jumped from fifth to second at 197 lbs. in this month's rankings. Redshirt junior
Derek Raike (Point Pleasant, W. Va.) held steady at the fourth spot at 157 lbs.

- 149 – 11th: Redshirt junior Paul Weber (Wheaton, Ill.)
- 157 – 4th: Redshirt junior Derek Raike (Point Pleasant, W. Va.)
- 165 – 9th: Redshirt junior Jack Lledo (Penn Valley, Pa.)
- 174 – 1st: Redshirt senior Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.)
- 184 – 1st: Redshirt senior Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio)
- 197 – 2nd: Redshirt senior Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio)
- 285 – 11th: Sophomore Wyatt Schmitt (Shorewood, Ill.)
