CLEVELAND – The Ohio Soccer team's senior goalkeeper
Celeste Sloma earned Mid-American Conference Goalkeeper of the Week following her 1-0 shutout performance against Central Michigan (Sept. 14).
While Sloma (Columbus, Ohio) was in net, she faced eight shots, making six saves while not allowing a goal in her 90 minutes of play. Facing shots from all angles, Sloma was able to keep the ball out of the back of the net, helping Ohio get its first MAC victory. The Bobcats are 3-4-1 and 1-0 in conference play.
Ohio is back in action on Thursday, September 18, when they return to Athens (Chessa Field) to take on Bowling Green at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
