Ohio Field Hockey Releases 2025 Schedule

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio field hockey team has announced its 2025 schedule, head coach Ali Johnstone announced today (July 8). The schedule includes six home games, 10 road games and a trip to California. 

Before the start of the season the Bobcats are scheduled to take on Ohio State in an exhibition match on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 3 p.m. ET.

Ohio heads to Louisville, Ky. to open the season on Saturday, Aug. 30 when Ohio takes on Michigan State for a neutral site game. Ohio defeated the Spartans in double overtime last season in East Lansing. Ohio wraps up the first weekend of play on Sunday, Aug. 31 when they take on host Louisville.
 
Ohio is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 6 when the Bobcats head to St. Louis, Mo. to take on St. Louis. 

The Bobcats then head west for three games in California. The trip begins on Thursday, Sept. 11 with the Bobcats taking on UC Davis. Ohio then heads to Stanford on Friday, Sept. 12 to take on the Cardinal. The Bobcats wrap up the trip on Sunday, Sept. 14 for a matchup with Cal. 

Ohio opens Mid-American Conference play on Friday, Sept. 19 against App State in Boone, N.C., before concluding their month-long trip on Sunday, Sept. 21 when Ohio takes on Davidson in Davidson, N.C.
   
The Bobcats open the home and MAC portion of their schedule on Friday, Sept. 26 against new MAC member UMass. Ohio then heads to Mount Pleasant, Mich. to take on Central Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 28. 

Ohio returns to Athens on Friday, Oct. 3 to take on Bellarmine. Then on Saturday, Oct. 4, Bellarmine and Queens College will face off in a neutral site match, before Ohio takes on Queens on Sunday, Oct. 5 at Pruitt Field. Ohio concludes the homestand on Friday, Oct. 10 against Ball State at Pruitt Field. 

Ohio hits the road on Friday, Oct. 17 when they head to Kent State, before returning home on Sunday, Oct. 19 to take on Longwood. 

The Bobcats wrap up the 2025 home schedule on Friday, Oct. 24 when they face off with Miami. 

Ohio concludes the 2025 regular season on the road when they head to Harrisonburg, Va. on Friday, Oct. 31 to take on James Madison. 

Ohio will return to Harrisonburg Nov. 4-8 for the 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament, hosted by James Madison. 

This season, Ohio returns All-MAC First Team Selection Anouk Plaehn and last season's goals and points leader, Sasha Dikotla
