COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced their 2025 Division I National Senior Team on Thursday, recognizing Ohio senior defender
Anouk Plaehn (Hanover, Germany) as one of the top seniors in the country.
The NFHCA Senior team provides a select group of senior student-athletes with the opportunity to be recognized and celebrated for their outstanding senior performances. College seniors are nominated by their NFHCA-member coaches and selected by an NFHCA committee each fall.
A team captain, Plaehn delivered a strong season in 2025, anchoring a Bobcat back line that ranked fourth in the conference in goals against and fifth in opponent scoring average. A steady and reliable on-field presence, she logged 1,074 minutes playing in all 18 games. Plaehn additionally contributed on the offensive scoresheet, adding three goals and an assist on 31 shots (14 on goal). Plaehn scored the game-winning goal in an upset win over #11 UMass on September 26, securing a victory in Ohio's first home game of the season.
