Ohio Soccer Releases 2025 Schedule

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio soccer teams has released its 2025 schedule, head coach Aaron Rodgers announced today (June 13). The 19-game schedule includes 10 home games, nine road games, and matchups with ACC and Big Ten opponents. 

"We are very happy with the 2025 schedule and how it will challenge our team, as well as prepare us for our ultimate goal of a MAC Championship," Rodgers said. "We have some exciting nonconference matchups, highlighted by the visit of ACC power Clemson. We have some great road matchups with another ACC team in Pitt, as well as a BIG Ten team in Indiana. We have a very experienced returning group that is ready to be pushed and challenged. The MAC schedule is always competitive and this year we get to travel to a new place with the addition of UMass and we are excited to see a new environment." 

Ohio will get one preseason matchup at Ohio State on Saturday, Aug. 9, before heading to Athens to open the 2025 regular season. The season begins on Thursday, Aug. 14 when the Bobcats take on Western Kentucky at Chessa Field. The opening week excitement continues Sunday, Aug. 17 when ACC opponent Clemson comes to Athens for a matchup with Ohio. It will be the first time in program history that the Bobcats and the Tigers will meet. 

Ohio then heads to Pittsburgh, Pa. on Thursday, Aug. 21 to take on Pitt. The Bobcats hold a 4-2 advantage over the Panther and last competed against them in 2018 on the road. Ohio is then back in Athens on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. to take on Marshall. Ohio holds the 15-2-2 advantage over the Herd, with the Bobcats winning last year's matchup, 2-0, in Athens. 

Ohio then heads to Oakland, Mich. on Thursday, Aug. 29 to take on Oakland, before returning to Athens once again on Thursday, Sept. 4 to take on Northern Kentucky at Chessa Field. 

Ohio concludes nonconference play on the road when they take on Big Ten opponent Indiana on Sunday, Sept. 7 in Bloomington, Ind. This is the first matchup between Ohio and Indiana since 2013. 

Ohio opens Mid-American Conference play on Sunday, Sept. 14 when they head to Mount Pleasant, Mich. to take on Central Michigan. Ohio returns to Chessa Field for back-to-back home matchups with Bowling Green (Sept. 18) and Akron (Sept. 21).  The Bobcats close out the month of September on the road starting on Thursday, Sept. 25 at reigning MAC Champion Western Michigan, before heading to Ypsilanti, Mich. on Sunday, Sept. 28 to take on Eastern Michigan. 

Ohio opens the month of October at home when the Bobcats host Ball State on Thursday, Oct. 2. Ohio is back on the road Thursday, Oct. 9 at Kent State, before heading to Toledo on Sunday, Oct. 12 for a matchup with the Rockets. 

Ohio will play three-straight to close out the home portion of the schedule beginning on Thursday, Oct. 16 when the Bobcats take on Buffalo. The Bobcats welcome Northern Illinois to Athens for the final time as a member of the MAC on Sunday, Oct. 19, before closing out the home slate with Miami for the 'Battle of the Bricks' on Thursday, Oct. 23 at Chessa Field. 

Ohio closed out the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 26 when they head to Amherst, Mass. To take on UMass. It is the first time in program history that the Bobcats will face off with the new MAC foe. 
The 2025 MAC Tournament will take place Nov. 1, Nov. 4 and Nov. 7 in Columbus, Ohio at Historic Crew Stadium. 

Ohio is coming off an 11-5-4 2024 season and a 5-3-3 mark in MAC play. Ohio returns MAC Defensive Player of the Year, Norah Roush, as well as All-MAC First Team selections, Eve Berish and Jaimason Brooker, as well as Second Team All-MAC selections Celeste Sloma and Maia Kaufman
