AKRON, Ohio – The Ohio women's track & field team wrapped up regular season competition at the Northeast Ohio Open on Friday, May 9.
Day 1 Recap:
Freshman
Ashley Cornathan (Hilliard, Ohio), senior
Millie Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) and senior
Jasmine Correa (Holland, Mich.) competed in the women's hammer throw. Cornathan (43.44m/142-6) finished 13
th, Correa (38.82m/127-4) finished 16
th and Ryan (38.69m/126-11) finished 17
th.
Freshman
Emma Hayes (Pomeroy, Ohio) finished seventh in the women's javelin with a mark of 22.41 meters (73-6).
Day 2 Recap:
Ryan and Correa competed in the women's shot put. Ryan placed seventh (12.82m/42-7.5) and Correa placed ninth (11.74m/38-6.25).
Ryan led the Bobcats in the women's discus with a sixth place finish (41.19m/135-1). Hayes finished 10
th with a PR of 39.09 meters (128-3) and Correa finished 12
th (35.26m/115-8).
The Bobcats will be back in action at the MAC Outdoor Championships on Thursday, May 15.
