ATHENS, Ohio – With one bronze medlist, seven podium finishes and two top five program marks, the Ohio women's track & field concluded the final day of a successful MAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 17. Ohio finished in 11
th place with 27 points.
Junior
Allie Martin (Kingwood, W. Va.) is now a two-time bronze medalist. Martin placed third in the women's 5,000 meters with a time of 17:04.52.
Freshman
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) earned two podium finishes in the women's 1500m and 800m. Stewart placed seventh in the 1500m (4:38.14) and eighth in the 800m (2:18.53).
Sophomore
Jada Irwin (Fairfield, Ohio) earned a podium finish in the women's 400m, placing eighth with a time of 56.66.
Freshman
Ava Kincaid (Perrysburg, Ohio) had a stellar performance in the finals of 400m hurdles. Kincaid placed fifth with a PR of 1:00.43. Her time now ranks as the fifth fastest in program history.
Senior
Taja Booker (Simpsonville, S.C.) also earned a podium finish. Booker placed fifth in the women's 200m with a time of 24.14.
The 4x400m relay team, comprised of sophomore
Elinor Shuttleworth (Beavercreek, Ohio), Irwin, Kincaid and Booker, placed eighth with a time of 3:45.78. The 4x400m relay time is now the fourth fastest outdoor time in program history.
Freshman
Lauren Mader (Green Bay, Wis.) earned Ohio's final podium finish of the day. Mader placed seventh in the women's discus with a mark of 45.64 meters (149-9).
