ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio women's track & field team is ready to host and compete at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday, May 15 to Saturday, May 17. The meet will take place at Goldsberry Track in Athens, Ohio.
ATHLETES TO WATCH
Ohio has experienced a lot of success throughout this outdoor season and will have many of its top performers competing at the conference meet.
The Bobcats are led by their successful distance squad, specifically junior
Allie Martin (Kingwood, W. Va.). At the 2025 MAC Indoor Championships, Martin medaled in the women's 5000 meters and earned a podium finish in the women's 3,000 meters. Martin will compete in the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters this week accompanied by junior
Leila Boussedra (Worthington, Ohio), junior
Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) and senior
Sarah Liederbach (Petoskey, Mich.).
Senior
Taja Booker (Simpsonville, S.C.) will represent Ohio in the sprints event as she is set to race in both the 100m and 200m. Booker recently recorded the second fastest outdoor 200m time in program history at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational.
Ohio also has a talented mid-distance group, led by freshman
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.), competing in the women's 800m and 1500m. The mid-distance group has gradually improved their PR's in both events throughout this outdoor season.
Ohio will also have a handful of field athletes competing in the heptathlon, several throws events and the women's triple jump.

The championships will take place across three days, starting on Thursday, May 15. The heptathlon and decathlon will be competed in the first two days of the meet.
