ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio women's basketball team has added transfer Elli Garnett to its roster for 2025-26 season, as announced by head coach

Garnett joins the Bobcats after playing a season at Nicholls State University. During the 2024-25 season, she played in 31 games and made 31 starts. Garnett recorded 874 minutes played, averaging 28.2 minutes per game. She tallied 256 points (8.3 PPG), 193 rebounds (6.2 RPG), 43 assists, 38 steals and four blocks. Garnett shot 37.0 percent from the field, 23.4 percent from the arc and 68.5 percent from the line.
Garnett is the daughter of Jenny and Bill Garnett. She has two siblings, Shad and Abby. Her sister, Abby, played basketball at Ohio for five years and now serves as an assistant coach. Her father, Bill, played basketball at Wyoming and in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers. Her mother, Jenny, played basketball at Northern Colorado.
