ATHENS, Ohio – It's time for the Ohio Football Spring Eggstravaganza, while Ohio softball honors its seniors with Miami in town! Check out everything that's ahead for Ohio Athletics in this week's Paw Prints.
FOOTBALL
April 19 / 2025 Spring Football Eggstravaganza / Athens, Ohio / Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium / 11 a.m. ET
The Ohio football program's Spring Game and 2024 Mid-American Conference Championship Celebration is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19.
Gates will open to the public at 10 a.m. with the full practice starting at 11 a.m. The "Eggstravaganza" will include the annual equipment surplus sale, a Gameday Spirit discount merchandise sale and a live radio show.
After the game, fans are invited to participate in a MAC Championship celebration, highlighted by postgame autographs and a cookout for our loyal fans. Additionally, football players are hosting and participating in an egg hunt behind Walter Fieldhouse prior to the cookout.

WOMEN'S GOLF

The Ohio women's golf team heads to the 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament April 20-22. This year's event is hosted by Ball State at the Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Ind. The three-day event begins on Sunday, April 20 with 18 holes, followed by 18 on Monday, April 21, with the tournament concluding on Tuesday, April 22 with the final 18 holes.
The 10 teams competing at this year's tournament ate Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Ohio Northern Illinois, Toledo and Western Michigan.
Ohio Placed sixth at least year's event and were led by
Mackenzie McRee and
Zoe Luebbers who tied for 14th. Kent State was crowned champion.

The Ohio baseball team (9-25, 4-11 MAC) is back in action for some MAC play this week. The week begins on Tuesday, April 15 when the Bobcats head to Dayton, Ohio to take on Dayton (20-18). First pitch is set for 3 p.m. ET at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium and can be seen on ESPN+. Ohio then heads to Kent, Ohio for a three-game series with MAC foe Kent State (21-13, 11-4 MAC). The series begins on Thursday, April 17 at 6 p.m. at Olga Mural Field at Schoonover Stadium. The series continues on Friday, April 18 at 3 p.m., before concluding on Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m.
Ohio is coming off a a 1-3 week that saw the Bobcats pick up a win over VMI on Friday night in Athens.
Dayton is currently 20-18 overall and are coming off a series sweep of George Washington in Dayton last weekend. Kent State is 21-13 overall with a 11-4 mark in MAC play. the Flashes are coming off a series loss to Miami last weekend and will take on Pitt at home on Tuesday before hosting the Bobcats.

The Ohio softball team (26-12, 9-4 MAC) is back in action for five MAC contests this week beginning on Tuesday, April 15 when teh Bobcats head to Bowling Green, Ohio to take on Bowling Green (15-25, 7-9 MAC) in a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. ET at Meserve Field. Ohio then returns home for an important three-game series against Miami (25-18, 14-3 MAC). The series begins on Friday, April 18 with a doubleheader set for 1 p.m. ET at the Ohio softball field, before wrapping up the three-game series on Saturday, April 19 at Noon. Saturday will serve as Ohio's Senior Day with Emma Hoffner, Maddie Wilcox, CiCi Keidel, Lauren Yuhas and Skipp Miller being honored before the start of the game.
Ohio is coming off a 1-2 weekend that saw Toledo steal a three-game series from teh Bobcats. Ohio opened up the weekend with a 3-2 win, before dropping a doubleheader on Saturday.
Bowling Green is currently 15-25 overall with a 7-9 mark in MAC play. The Falcons are coming off a series win against Western Michigan last weekend in Bowling Green. Miami comes to Ohio with a 25-18 record and a 14-3 mark in conference play. The RedHawks are coming off a series loss against Ball State in Muncie last weekend and will face off with Akron in a doubleheader on Tuesday before heading to Athens.

Ohio track and field team is back in action April 16-18 at the 2025 Brian Clay Classic hosted by Azusa Pacific at the Cougar Athletic Stadium in Azusa, Calif. The meet will being on Wednesday, April 16, before concluding on Friday, April 18.
Ohio is coming off a strong showing at the We Fly Challenge in Muncie, Ind. last weekend. Freshman Lauren Mader led Ohio with a first-place finish in the women's discus. Mader recorded a personal-best mark of 45.87 meters (150-6). Freshman Jaclyn Garvey (2:13.65) won the women's 800m and was one of three Bobcats to place in the top five in the event. Sophomore Sophie Besett placed third (2:15.39) and sophomore Elinor Shuttleworth and placed fourth (2:16.43).
