
Ohio Swim's Szoke Set for 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Ohio swimming sophomore Zita Szoke heads to Federal Way, Wash. March 19-22 for the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Washington State at Gibb Pool. Szoke's week begins on Thursday, March 20 for the 50 free. She then returns to the pool on Friday, March 21 for the 200 free, before wrapping up her trip on Saturday, March 22 for the 200-yard freestyle. Each day's prelims will begin at 1 p.m. ET, with finals scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. All sessions can be seen on ESPN+.
This is the second-straight year that Szoke (Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary) has qualified for the NCAA Championships. Szoke currently holds the 23rd-fastest time in the NCAA in the 100 free, after setting a new school and Mid-American Conference record in the prelims at the 2025 MAC Championships last weekend in Buffalo, N.Y. with a time of 47.84. The time was also a new MAC Championship and pool record. Szoke is also holds the 37th-fastest time in the 200 free, a school record time of 1:44.74 that she also set last weekend at the MAC Championships. Szoke's time of 22.17 in the 50 free is currently 53rd-fastest.
Szoke is coming off a stellar MAC Championships last weekend, where she was crowned MAC Champion in the 50, 100 and 200 free, while also earning a relay championship in the 200-yard freestyle relay and yeared her second-straight First Team All-MAC Selection.
